Failure Is All Part Of The Game

Step 01. Determine your long term goal

Everyone has something that makes them want to get out of bed every morning and that something is usually their goals. Living without a goal is living without a purpose and whether it is big or small, goals drive us to become a better person. First you must determine what your biggest goal is and then find out the steps to attain it. I know this may sound over used but the sky is the limit and any goal can be attainable. All you have to do is put your mind to it and put in the effort to make it happen. Goals do not happen over night, so be ready to go in for the long run or else you will you be sorely disappointed.

Step 02. First crawl

Most of the time you will have to start out at the very bottom before you can reach the top. We all have to start out some where and that some where is not always where we imagine ourselves starting out at. To get to your long term goal you must first start out with a smaller goal. Short term goals are more attainable in a shorter period of time that will ultimately help you reach your long term goal. Usually after accomplishing a short term goal it will lead you to another short term goal and then another. Do not be discouraged if it is taking you a long time to be where you want to be, Rome was not built in a day.

Step 03. Then walk and fall

If you ever research the most successful business people that are multi millionaires or billionaires, you find out that many have failed and sunk to rock bottom at one point or another. The only difference between them and the average person is that they tried again and again until they got the results they wanted. Sometimes you have to fail multiple times before you reach your ultimate goal. Do not let this discourage you as it is all part of the game. The best thing about failing is that it helps you figure out where you went wrong and how to prevent the same mistake from happening over again.

Step 04. Stay focused

After accomplishing many short term goals and after going through a few or no failures (hopefully), then you are near your target. Sometimes it will take many years, anywhere between 4 to 6 or maybe more depending on how big your goal is before you are near it. During this time you may find yourself in a more comfortable spot and become complacent. DO NOT BECOME COMPLACENT. Complacency is a goal killer and will make one feel as they did good enough and their burning desire to reach their biggest goal dies. Never settle for mediocracy, it is never good enough, always strive to become better. Sometimes you have to remind yourself why set out to attain your goal in order to add fuel to the flames.

Step 05. Sprint

Now you are ready. Your long term goal is now in reach and can be for the taking at the snap of your fingers. Do not hesitate or second guess yourself. You spent a long time and have done a lot of hard work to reach where are now, so why wait. Once you reach your goal take sometime to look back at all you been through and how you changed as a person. Consistently remind yourself the reason you set out on this long journey to attain your goal. Finally the last thing you will have to do is protect what you earned and if you desire, find another goal to accomplish.
