However the reality is that a vast majority of NFTs sold on platforms like Open Sea and Rarible are iliquid, meaning once purchased you may have a near impossible time trying to sell it afterwards. This type of market quickly bubbles and dies down with fatigue as it runs out of steam. Secondary markets like StockX on the other hand is plagued by Logistical overhead. Once a buyer is found, you as the seller now has to ensure the delivery of the product as well as its authenticity.

Bonding Curves were first made popular by mainstream Decentralized Exchanges and protocols during DEFI Summer in 2020. The formula essentially allowed crypto to find its first product market fit by creating automated market makers that replaced traditional middleman in centralized exchanges such as the NYSE or Binance.
