Are you a technical writer planning to participate in Hacktoberfest this year and contribute to open source documentation? I participated in Hacktoberfest last year and tried jotting down everything…
It was a volcanic eruption
Sixteen and Seventeen
We were consumed with emotions and sensations
that shimmered and glowed like red hot lava
We met at a dance
Was there music?
If there was I did not hear it
I only remember the soft blur of love
The music would come years later
For a time we floated in our bubble
It was magical
with fairy dust spinning around us
Then the bubble burst
Why? There is no answer
It was not a choice made
There was still magic dancing in my heart
Love lingered for a long time
I will always remember the sadness
Years passed and life went on
I did not find that magical feeling again
just acceptance and inadequate day to day events
outside our bubble
Life is magical and fairy dust does exist
Memories lingered and the love never died
I learned not to believe in it
If I thought of him I smiled and shrugged
Time is but a heartbeat or so it felt
that day he called me
A voice from the past now with a deep gravelly tone
not there when he was seventeen
Shivers down my spine and thirty-eight years slipped away
Love reignited and the volcano erupted
rumbling and shooting sparks into the air
Old love turned into new love
magic sprinkled with disappointments and difficulties
mixed with moments of pure wonderment and joy
The love we have now simmers and bubbles
there is music and a special song spinning every day
The song speaks to me and tells our story and I know
I just can’t stop loving him.
